hi, i always take my own, it works fine with no problems when i stay at bakungsari hotel, but a couple of years back, bakungsari was booked out, so i stayed at there sister hotel bakungs beach, every time i turned the kettle on there, it blew all the fuses, and the staff had to keep resetting them, so in the end, i just reset the fuse switch myself.
So it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your kettle, its just the hotel's wiring........i paid $8 for mine as big w.......
Enjoy your trip, i'm going back in novemeber this year for my 21st trip in 20 years!!!!
