I travel with airasia quite alot and usually have an SLR a point And shoot my small netbook, itouch and my daughters camera in my hand luggage. Never had any problems just make sure you dont exceed the weight in a single piece of your ha d luggage. They made us repack our hand luggage travelling from bkk to Hanoi as one of our wheelie hand luggage pieces was too heavy. Had to move the laptop Tony daughters back pack. I have bought a lighter hand luggage know. In fact the only time I have ever in the last 12 years of travel had to open any hand luggage except when flying qantas from Bali years ago and I had to get out my old camera to show them but that was after they just started the new rules about no water or liquids being in hand luggage every second person was stopped.
