Is insurance much of a muchness? Well it is until you have to claim. Then there might be a problem if you aren't covered for something you needed to be. Most people don't read the fine print.
One I've looked at extensively and used heaps is Travel Insuance Direct (www.tid.com.au). They have all round cover that suits us and covers all things that we (and most people would require I think) incl cancellation, medical, loss etc.. If you do go with them there is a promotion code: tidthanks - if under $100 will give $10 off or code: hopon should give a 10% discount if over $100.
If your over 49 you have to tick a box and maybe put in add info.
Another one is: 1cover and there are others but mainly I use tid.
Good on you booking yourself. The AA site was frustrating this time but managed to get some for April. Am getting a shock at some of the hotel prices I am getting back tho.
