meant that they all speak English. I know that we were once offered to have a "policeman friend" do our licence for us, we just wanted to do it ourselves for the experience and what a memorable experience, he wanted an extra 300,000 on top of the actual fee, but this was for a yearly one. You may be able to get a "nice friend" who does it cheap for you, just remember that the actual fee is 80,000 so whatever is on top of that is the "friends rate". Don't you love how many friends you can make in Bali, you will have a friend approach you in the first 30 seconds of arriving there.

Our wish list at present is any natural soap products of any kind, whether bars or shampoos, we had a nice man come to the village with a fancy little truck with music playing that sold all the ladies some seriously toxic little sachets of soap that they have been using to wash (everyone washes in Lake Batur), so we are running around trying to swap natural soap for these little packets. We had a meeting with the Mayor of the region about teaching them to make their own soap and seemed more interested if we knew of any large investors that may want to start a golf course in the area, so we have a meeting with his boss in 3 weeks, apparently the Tourism Board now have 22 Billion to spend on environment impact in the Badung Regency and our region only has 11 million. So, the beaches in Kuta may be very clean soon but the rest of Bali will be toxic dumps with nice golf courses.
