I rang the AA Call Centre (Ph 1300760 330) at 1 am AEST and got through without waiting.
Over a very poor line, the AA woman was certain that I had to pay the 70 RM Fuel Levy.
She had better news on the price of the one way ticket. She told me that I would only pay 388 RM. Deducting the $A80 credit for the AA plane being more than two hours late last year, left a balance of 142.98 RM which would be converted to $A by the credit card company at their rate plus whatever charges they would add for an overseas purchase.
So now, I have a one way ticket from KUL to MEL. I will need to add extra flights to and from Bali, plus a flight from Australia to KUL.
