Before I start I would first like to acknowledge the wealth of information I got from this forum leading up to our holiday, so I thought the least I could do was to post a Just back report for others who were in my shoes in researching information about travelling with young kids.
My family of 5 (hubby, me, 6,3, 20mth old) left Brisbane 14th May traveling Virgin blue. Our 6 hour flight was veeeery long. I stocked up on snacks, and games for the kids on the flight to keep them busy otherwise they would've gone WILD.
Upon landing to Ngurah Rai airport,we then hopped on a bus to transport us to the terminal, hopped off and then BANG..the mixture of humidity and foul smoke smell hit us. Being first timers, we just went with the flow, followed everybody else to pay for our VOA. The queue to customs was very long. Our kids ofcourse were restless and just wanted to run around so I let them do just that LoL At the same time we had numerous men dressed in airport uniform asking us if we wanted 'express', 'fast track'..which was apparently VIP but I was determined not to get scammed or even conned in bali upon arrival. LoL So we just continued to waited in line LoL Once we got through customs, things was just smooth sailing, we got our luggage and we were out of there with our pre-arranged driver waiting for us outside. Phew..we survived the airport!
