I agree about expecting other countries to change their law to suit us. As for the fireworks. Just another case of the few spoiling it for the many. Somebody (hopefully an adult) letting them off on the beach being careful of direction is of course not really a problem.
The problem is caused by idiots letting them off near grass rooves or aiming them at other people. Basically taking a risk for yourself is one thing but putting others at risk is quite another.
