As a minimum, I always at least double the taxi fare. A 15 minute drive costs around 90 cents so doubling it cost you less than $2. For a 9000IDR ($1 AU) taxi ride, I will give at least 20,000 or 50,000. It makes their day and costs you nothing really. For restraunts etc, I usually just round it up to the nearest 50,00o.
