Disgraceful....I had been to Magos Restaurant 4-5 times on previous trips but never again ! On our June 2010 visit the owner (I think he is italian) treated his staff like crap yelling and abusing at 2 young waitress in front of us and maybe 30 other patrons. His wife (a sullen faced chinese lady) didn't seem to care about anything going on in the restaurant but the cash register which she stood next to all night, but then again from what I've read (below) I'm Aussie and she's made it quite clear that she doesn't like us being there.
I was going to write up something about it but when I searched BTF first to see if there were any other bad comments about the place I realised someone had already beaten me to it. Wish I had read it before I had gone to eat there in the first place.
There is a link below to the story in the archive to which I am referring and it's good to see the word got around as on our last visit this March the place was lucky to be 1/3rd full most nights, a couple years back it would have been a full house.
Pity because its in such a great location, I've heard from a couple friends that live nearby that the lease is up soon and the owner of the land refuses to extend their lease - ohhhh I wonder why ???
