Quite a few late nighters in Sanur these days (by Sanur standards that is).
The On On Bar in Danu Poso is very popular amongst the single guys and its open tll the wee morning hours most nights, then there is the Trophy Pub next to Hotel Sanur Beach that have a live band playing most Saturday nights or across the road is the Cat & Fiddle, (an Irish Pub theme). They have a resident band, 'The Bali Leprechauns', who perform on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday nites, and the well known 'Sigit Band' play there every Monday and Wednesday.
A few of the trendier places like Double Dutch are open till late night and most have some form of live entertainment, dancing etc...
Our favourite is still the Ducks Nutz with live entertainment from 7pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday nights and from 2pm on Sunday arvos. Its a great place to have a cold beer and a chin wag with the many ex-pats who frequent the place.
Another new comer to the Sanur area is the Linga Longa Bar. Its a locally owned warung style bar with grass roof and a bamboo bar. The owner Rolas is a Batak musician, his muso buddies all turn up around 9pm after they have finished playing in some of the larger hotels for a few drinks and a jam session with Rolas. They also serve Babi Guling (suckling pig) which is roast on a spit right in front of the bar. It takes you back to the "old" Bali of the 70's & 80's and is a great night.
