In Australia, once you have passed sceening at Customs you may purchase drinks (liquids greater than 100ml) and take them on board the aircraft as all these items have been subject to screening prior to entering the customs secure area. The screening point in Bali is at a later point where there are no places to purchase drinks once screened.
So you can purchase food and drinks to take on board in Australia to consume on the way to Bali.
