You will find that most Indonesian restaurants will do many vegetarian dishes.

There is a nice little place just off Monkey Forest Rd down a narrow laneway lined with shops called the 'Biangalah Café'. They do Indonesian and traditional food. Nothing much to look at but food was nice (and really cheap) with views over rice paddys. We ate there often after shopping on Monkey Forest Rd. Ph: 0361 977871

One of the best on Monkey Forest Rd would have to be 'Cinta Grill'. They do the works, seafood, grills, and a good range of vegetarian including a lovely Indian style vegetable curry with chick peas. Ph 0361 975395

Another favourite on Monkey Forest is 'Lamak', (with a large vegetarian menu). Best value on the menu is the 'Chefs Tasting Menu' it has 5-6 course from memory for about 230,000. Lamak also has a huge winelist (best we found in Ubud) and the best Souffles I think I have ever tasted.

'The Greenhouse' (attached to the Pertiwi Hotel on Monkey Forest) is also good, but honestly there are literally hundreds of nice restaurants in Ubud and it would take you a year to canvas them all.

Have fun
Buon Appetito !
