We have stayed twice at Discovery Kartika in the last 12 months. Once with kids and once without. When we took the kids we also got two rooms with a interconnecting door between them. It is a lovely hotel and the pool is excellent.I have also been in a room at the paradiso (But never stayed there) and there isnt really much between the rooms at either hotel except in my opinion the furnishings are a bit more modern at the kartika. I prefer the Kartika because you have access to the beach from the back of your hotel so we quite often went out the front (Street) way and came back to the hotel the back (beach)way which is way less crowded and so much easier when you have children with you.I have never been to the Padma but have heard it is very nice too :)
