Have only had to pay a fine when I stopped on a zebra crossing (as I decided at the last minute not to jump the lights. Any other time my papers have been checked and in order no problem.
In the past I paid Rp65,000 to extend my Indonesian licence in Bali. Just did it today in Lombok though and it cost me Rp300,000.
