Sukawati markets is open every day, I think, from early as locals do their shopping there, too. Pretty busy.

From Ubud you could drive up to Kintimani via the Tegalalang stretch of homeware shops, looking. Have a drink at Kintimani overlooking the active volcano - stunning views. On the way back stop at any shops that took your fancy then have lunch at Kampung Kafe - lovely Indonesian food in a delightful setting with stunning views.

There are also great views en route.

If you prefer to lunch in Ubud then I recommend Tropical Bale restaurant almost opposite Neka Art Museum, which is well worth a look. Tropical Bale is set in a rice field & has a set menu for lunch which is excellent value (I'd go for a main & a dessert). Also sell lovely glassware.

In Ubud, near the bridge, the long-established Murni's has several levels down a ravine. Tropical Bale is better value with better food.

In Ubud, you could wander around Monkey Forest Road, Jalan Hanuman & Jl Dewi Sita which runs between them starting at the soccer field. A day trip really isn't long enough but a nice taste of Ubud.
