Made it over here, flight left late due to about 8 passengers being late. Didn't think the food was as good this year. Good flight and wasn't too bad getting our visa and then not long to get through immigration. However had hassles over the childrens clothes we brought over for Smudge eventually sorted out. Found our friend Sudi ok.
Hot and sticky here, Of course we are on Melbourne time with our body clocks so woke too early.
Stopped at Sanur for supplies and to get Bali simcard rangsonwithout any problems. However it was a different story this morning. It rang but then I couldn't speak to him. He rang back I told him I will try again later. If not will call into Hardy's on the way to Jimbaran on Sat and get them to see what I am doing wrong. Or MAYBE IT IS finger trouble, you all know it couldn't be me!! Had a drink and caught up with the gang at the Ugly Duckling, dropped of the clothes for Smudge. Couldn't find the dvd place didn't walk far enough had forgotten where it was. Maddy went with ne in the end.Then to Royal Reslort at Candidasa. Have been some changes at the resort we'll see if they are for the better. Our Imperial Apartment looks nice but still only has very small wardrobe. Has 2 hotplates which we won't be using. King size 4 poster bed, large sliding doors that go onto a balcony with nice lounges and a view of the pool and the sea. The sound of the waves lulled us to sleep.
They had a bbq on last night and traditional dancing etc we have seen it all before and don't like their music anyway. We went to warung outside of resort and shared a club sandwich neither of us were hungry. Eddie of course had his Bingtang and I had my mixed fruit juice. Made sure it was banana as haven't beern having bananas for awhile. For my duty free I bought 100 proof Southern Comfort they told me it is sweeter so it will be interesting. Hope I don't fall down the stairs
HAD BREAFAST (VERY NICE) Candidasa Cafe main stree of the town/village went on the free shuttle cafe has free wi fi. Found out it is free in restaurant at resort, so will just go in for a drink and use it there. went to the German bakery for supplies didn't get much they didn't have much. When we get back will have a swim and do some sunbathing. Must go to caatch the shuttle back.
