If you tell them at the scanners that you have a pacemaker they will just frisk you instead.I've never had to show my card. They usually send your shoes and any other gear, including your belt,watch etc through the scanner as they frisk you, I carry a sealable plasic bag and put all my stuff from pockets etc in it, my wife goes through the scanners first and then I send all the suitcases etc through to her so she can mind them,while they are frisking me. This is the same routine at Oz & Bali end.You usually get frisked several times,
