Last year sitting in the back seat of the car we didn't see it until our driver stopped the car. In the car headlights we could see a thin pale green snake motionless in the middle of the road.
Our driver could have broken its spine by running over it , and we his passengers would not have known it had happened.
He waited until the snake finally moved off into the bushes before continuing our journey. :)
