My family and I had the wonderful dolphin experience at Bali Dolphins on Monday so I can provide some facts for you and not just someones point of view.
Firstly, we were told they are booked out until August - so you may have trouble getting in.
The cost was USD69 for adults and USD59 for children.
You don't swim with them, you stand on a platform in the water - about waist height (I'm 166cm's). The dolphins come to you. They have been trained to kiss you on the cheek, rest their head on your shoulder for a cuddle, dance, fetch a stone and a ball. They also appear to love having their bellies rubbed. Our dolphin, Jasmine, didn't always feel like performing but loved rolling over for a tummy massage.
As baligirl has mentioned, these dolphins are looked after and I have no doubt treated better than those held captive in Lovina. Their trainers adore them and go with the flow when they are not in the mood to perform.
This has to be the most memorable Bali experience for me. At the time it felt surreal and I get goose bumps looking at the wonderful photos and videos we have.
I hope there is a cancellation and you manage to do this on your trip - it is unforgettable.
