Dynasty a few times and HRH for the 1st time in January. I am over the Dynasty and don't stay there anymore. Although the rooms are brilliant there (best family rooms in Bali I believe) I don't like the 'yobbo' Aussie type atmosphere around the pool bar etc.. (IMHO - sure to offend some!)
The pool at HRH is amazing. They have 5 waterslides for the kids, not as tall/long as the Dynasty but our kids still had an absolute ball. Another kids area around the other side. A beach in the middle of the pool which is a huge with lots of different sections.
The kids club was good too with cooking, craft, dance activities etc. Lunch was also included. You do pay for the kids club here 250k ++ which is for the duration of your stay, no matter how long.
They are upgrading all the rooms currently (may be finished?). We stayed in a newly renovated kids suite which was amazing. Huge room with 2 bathrooms, large main b/room which can be closed off with sliding doors, large lounge area with table/chairs and then a separate kids sleeping area with bunks, playstation etc.. 2 x tv's.
A mix of nationalities stay here. Food & drinks are a little pricey but no more so than a similar standard hotel.
Great location, close to Matahari and Poppies I & II for meals.
We are staying there again in December. Kids can't wait.
We are trying the Holiday Inn Baruna in Tuban in September. Seems to be similar style hotel although I don't think the pool area will be as suitable for the kids - we previously stayed there when it was the Bali Hai.
