My brother and his wife treated themselves to a stay at the Karma Kandara for 7 nights and the villa they were given had 2 spare bedrooms, so they cleared it with management for us to stay a night (we were staying in Tuban). The trip is lengthy to get there - no doubt about it and towards the end of the journey it is on unsealed roads but the resort is absolutely stunning. Cost wise - not cheap but more in line with fine dining in Australia.
Views - wow! Doesnt matter when you are there - the views are awesome, sipping cocktails by the infinity pool whilst entering sunset is truly incredible. However the best views are during the day - breakfast and lunch. They have a cable car that goes from the top of the restaurant to the bottom where the beach is. There is a bar/restaurant down at the beach also.
