Think we paid $60 or $80 return but not 100% sure, plus you have to pay extra on most airlines for surfboards(think it was about $20 for each board). From memory I haven't been charged on Garuda before.
Lombok is very different to Bali, apart from Sengiggi/Kuta Lombok/Gilis there isn't too many tourists around. We drove 2+hrs across Lombok back from our accomodation(South East Lombok) without seeing a single Western person until we got near the airport......they're slowly building an international airport though, so it will change in the coming years....
