I was there nov 2010, from 5th Nov - 22nd, first week was fine but the week commencing the 15th they started showing up in my hotel.
There wasnt a great deal of them, so maybe it was a bit early - but a group of boys who occupies 6 twin rooms who although perfectly behaved around the pool, they were an absolute arse up around their rooms. Didnt help that they all chose to congregate in and around the one room, this being the room next to me. Never come across such immaturity in my life (and i'm only 27, so hardly some old fuddy). They made my life in the hotel a misery with their constant buffoonery.
The others at that time were a group of 4 girls. Not a nusance at all, although i did come home in the early hours of the morning once to find them skinny dipping in the pool with some local boys, and one of them passed out in nothing but her bikini bottoms out front of her room (which being on the ground floor you had to walk past to get to the 1st floor). Lovely body mind. :-) Though i did worry that, someone that drunk really shouldnt have been in the pool!
All in all, i would avoid schoolies as much as possible.
