I paid VOA for 5 people last week. Handed over $200AUD and was given $70AUD change. Luckily our transport was pre-arranged because I left the airport with no rupiah (the rate offered by the airport money changers was too low).
Darwin airport is small and boring... Just a few cafes and one small duty free shop. Take a good book and one of those neck pillows!
