Why you purchased Rupiah before your trip is no one else's business but yours. If you were in a situation like Michaells post describes, when all the money exchange booths are closed, you would be very pleased that you pre purchased some Rupiah.
I agree, what you posted was not for discussion and you were just reporting what you did.
