for. Lombok doesn't really have the same party culture as Bali so if he's looking for a rowdy 50th he's probably not going to get it exactly. But, there's some really terrific accomodation far more reasonably priced than Bali and the nightlife, though mostly lowkey, is fun. Flying is cheap and easy and Lion and Garuda both let you book and pay online. Lombok Network is a good website for an idea of what's available though I wouldn't necessarily book anything with them.
