I was in Bali last week. Our flight from Cairns was via a 2 hour layover in the hideous Darwin transit lounge.We arrived in Bali and after filling out the entry cards which they did not have for us on the flight(take 2 pens in your hand luggage) paid our $25US each to get into Bali and we went through Customs effortlessly.........whole process including an interesting discussion with the guy on the VOA desk took around 30-40 mins.
Interesting discussion = USD25 but AUD26 BUT they do not accept coins so if you are paying with Aussie Dollars it will be $30. Or $55 for a couple, confused? So were we! Short version, make sure you have USD.
