The whole of Waterbom operates on the splash bands system - you pay a deposit for the band and then load however many rupiah onto the band. Any rupiah left over is returned when you leave and give the band back.
It's so much easier than having to carry cash around, the bars and eating areas only accept the splash bands system, no cash, and there are top up counters around the grounds if you run out.
Make use of the lockers just after you walk in as well, they are very safe and useful when you have a heap of kids stuff to cart around with you!
