While some may barely use the kitchen, others may rent a villa precisely because they do want to cook or be cooked for.

I expect to find: enough crockery and cutlery for the max guests x 2 (ie 2 sets), three saucepans including a very large one for boiling pasta, a good large non-stick frying pan, a collander, tongs, egg slide, can opener, bottle opener, serving spoons, water filter, ice-cube trays, microwave that bakes if possible, fridge (small is OK), cook top (ovens are not expected in Bali), dishdrainer, teatowels.

I have a holiday house in Oz I rent out and a guest recently commented that it was the best supplied kitchen she'd ever had. I didn't spend a lot on it - most of it came from Ikea - but I didn't scrimp on cookware.
