you will need to order a day in advance. Try Ball & Gael at the Ducks Nutz for this. A 14 kilo pig will cost a bit over 1 million with all the trimmings. I have also ordered a whole pig at Kesuma and Ming restaurants.
If you are simply after a meal try the Warung mentioned by both Mambolib and lovinakat. It can be very good. Three recommendations out of 4 replies must mean something.
You also can go to Sindhu Markets early in the morning for very nice babi guling (take away)however this is normally sold out by 7 AM.
The place mentioned by kek is the Linga Longa Bar in southern Sanur. They roast a pig there every Sunday afternoon. The owner of the bar (Rolas) carves this up from 7.30PM. They have live music at the same time.
Remember that the Balinese love the fat on the pigs, so most of the babi guling prepared here is quite fatty. The slow cooked pig at Linga Longa is easily the best choice of those mentioned. In my opinion it is a lot better than the well known place in Ubud
