staying there the whole time. They do enjoy the kuta/legian area, to shop, be with their firends. But I do believe it is great to show them other parts. My daughter (14) loved Sanur, and even mentioned she could live there as well. She was very relaxed talking with local people and boys no doubt, however we were always around, which doesn't bother her at all.
She did feel saddened by how quiet the local shop keepers are in the area compared to Kuta/Legian area, but enjoyed their peaceful laid back way of life.
Still plenty of shopping around. She has become a great fan of cream baths and facials. Also she enjoyed playing pool. My son rode a bicycle around, playing pool. He would have surfed but most of his friends had gone home and he was happy just to chill.
