when i had the water dispenser i would just fill the bucket with that as it was easier then putting under the tap. A few times i did use tap water but mostly bottled water.
I took lots of washers over that i had intended to wet and freeze and use on the baby in the heat but never got around to that. I think he coped ok, he isn't much of a water drinker so we decreased his formula in each bottle and gave him extra bottles each day.
I agree with hiring baby stuff, i looked at the prices and thought i could purchase things for that price, like you said for a month its not worth it. I didn't take a cot, everywhere supplied one FOC except KTH. Was cheaper though to pay for one there then rent one next door at the baby shop.
