we stayed at jayakarta,and happy with overall service provided. the first room they offered was unsatisfactory and in a poor location. they relocated us to a more satisfactory room when we complained,always advisory to inspect room before accepting accommodation.breakfast a buffet with a good selection for the price. very difficult to secure a pool side deckchair unless you place towels,etc, on chairs in early hours as everyone else does the same.
supermarket, go to bintang supermarket, all taxi drivers know this, around 20,000 to 40,000 rp fare, and if they wont use the meter, dont use the taxi, wait 2 minutes for another, also, commonwealth bank auto teller at bintang. while there, check out the cafe which is a sort of patisserie, excellent food and service.
overall, we stayed at jayakarta last year for 2 weeks and couldn't complain abouy anything.....except that balinese dont know how to cook bacon!arrive and enjoy.
