Hillary might have missed your post so I'll answer a few questions.
We have bought bali kopi from both the coffee plantation and the supermarket. The latter is by far the cheaper way to purchase. We would have bought it either from the supermarket at the bottom of Matahari in Kuta or the Bintang in Legian. More than likely available at any local supermarket when you think about it. I can't remember which brand we bought from the supermarket but the post by JerryTRIC gives a recommendation.
You can purchase in powder form as opposed to beans so no trouble if you don't have a grinder.
We have declared it to customs on arrival and have had no problem in bringing it in. Not uncommon to do so apparently. As already mentioned the exception on imports is the luwak kopi and you cannot bring that back in unless you have a permit to import it.
