there are heaps of paintings and wood carving shops on the main drag that the market is on...you can't miss them....the markets and surrounding shops are cheaper than kuta/legian area...I bought a small painting of tropical orchid= size approx 15cm x 45cm for approx A$5, that was a couple of years ago before the aussie dollar went up...by the way, make sure you go to the toilet before you go...they are the grossest I have seen...also, there is the occasional rat in the markets and shops
