Food is better out of the resort, there are some great places on the beach to the left a few minutes walk.
Not sure about happy hour, but I dont think so. Again there is probably somewhere close by that has happy hour.
We have stayed there 3 times and the pool bar is never in use, but as already said you can easily get service from the restaurant whilst laying on the beach or poolside.
Besakih is our favourite place to stay in Bali, dont expect 5 star and you wont be disappointed. We upgraded to a bungalow this time, but next time I would probably just go with the standard rooms again,.
