Yes, you have to pay for children. No, you can not pay in coin! And the difference between paying in Rp or $AU or $US is negligible for you and your group of 8 so it doesn't need you to hold the entire area up by splitting yor group, lining up at every booth and then having a group discussion and then pooling your money trying to sort everyone and their denominations.
My god, the other night it was maddening. If you're paying in $US have your $25 out and ready, if you are paying in $AU have your $30 out and ready and if you are paying in RP just have it all out and ready! Arguing over the exchange rate with the cashier will not help.
