Have never been to Taro but went to the elephent nature park in Chiang mai in November. I just cannot imagine anything being better. We fed and played in the river with the elephants most of the day and ate the MOST amazing lunch which was a huge surprise. The careres are wonderful. No rides here (not an issue) as all the elephants are rescue animals and need lots of tlc. Never made to do anything.
