we have brought back a variety of knives and utensils and even one of those big cleaver ones the Chinese use for vegs. Last trip we bought 2 ScanPan knives back. Never had any problems. You do need to declare the knives though (although we did forget last trip with the Scanpan ones.) They ahve some great "stuff" over there we love going and looking at it all.
