Take a pen and pad and calculator with you to take notes as it can get confusing.
There are about 20 shops in a row, and all can start to look the same as each other.
The pieces of jewellery are all marked at 70%, 75% and up to 80% (of the full 24 carat - (I have never seen 100% there)the tiny tags have the weight in grams on and the purity, so you can work out prices yourself.
If you spot something you like, write down the weight, purity and price so you can compare other pieces and price as you go.
Also write down the name of the shop, as said, it can get confusing.
Note the ladies all sitting on plastic stools outside the shops.
These are gold buyers, and on a nod, a small set of scales and a purity test kit will appear, and you can offer old broken or other unwanted gold to sell.
These women carry a surprising amount of cash with them to complete purchases.
In the shops, the prices offered may be subject to a small discount if you ask.
