Sorry to hear about your experience - that sounds really frustrating.
I'm a big fan of Mr Ansor at Brisbane tailors. He comes to you and makes terrific men's suits for under A$200, which is very cheap considering similar suits are around A$1,000 at home. He also does excellent alterations to quite elaborately tailored women's clothing.
That said, I wouldn't bother having clothes made for myself in Bali. For dresses etc, it doesn't seem to work out to be that cheap in the end, and I don't want to spend my holiday stuffing around with fittings, meetings, etc! Also, the fabrics you can buy there leave me cold.
