I have held a motorcycle licence now for over 25 years and have been racing motorcycles for over 30 years. Yet I will not ride in bali because of the dangers. I was once told, "if you are in an accident, no matter what happened, the westerner is at fault. Because if the westerner wasnt there on the island, the accident would not have happened". You and he should consider yourselves very lucky that all he had to part with was some cash, and not injured or killed and you having to part with your house etc to get him home and patched up. He could of been on last weeks news! Personally I think the police are to light with their bribes. If you dont do it in your own country, why do it elsewhere?
