I'm sorry, but even if you were allowed to take such items onto a place - i would consider it hugely inconsiderate towards other passengers if you were to do so.
Knitting is noisy - the tap tap tap of the needles is enough to infuriate.
No doubt you would complain if someone was playing music aloud? Your knitting clanging is no different. Keep it to yourself. Please and Thank you.
