Spent a day at Pascale Morabito (french Designer) Art Villa Canggu. Absolutely beautiful. It's right next door to Legong Keraton Beach. Which now doesn't seen as far away from Seminyak as it used to be with so much building work that has gone on in 1 year. I still think it's a great area to stay in, if you like to be away from everything. Morabito does have 12 rooms for accomodation, but extremely pricey. Fabulous day there swimming, eating drinking with group. He designs jewellery, so I couldn't help it and bought a piece. They are creating an art museum still in progress for ecclectic art pieces they have collected. They also do weddings.

Had High Tea with friends at Biku on Thursday afternoon. At such a cheap price and great food it was worth it. They also have a childrens High tea for 25,000rp for the 11 year old that joined us and she loved it. Bookings would be advisable, especially on weekends. We will go for lunch today so have booked.

We went to Potato Head a bar on the beach similar concept to Kudeta that someone told me about. You can enter off the beach, but my suggestion is enter from the driveway, as you get close to the building you will be amazed!!!! Has no windows but is in the shape of an arena on approach made from window shutters, and you follow a maze through security in. Will go today for drinks after lunch, and let the kids swim on beachfront pool and spa. Booking only required if you eat. No dress code YET. Sml Bintang 30,oooRP
Ate at goody's last night. Great food. Have done Zanzibar, and Tekor again.
Yesterday hired cab driver to take 4 of us shopping. We went to Unagi (near Jail) then to Carrefour and Biarritz. Biarritz and Geneva (same owner) still my preference. Biarritz has nicer warehouse clean light and not so dusty. Ate lunch at 3pm at Tommys as we were too busy shopping.
Went to Soul Sisters to buy my 1 dress a year from there. Boys all at some sports bar, close by which they will end up at again late today.
Reflexology was great at JL Padma opposite mozzerella restaurant. Its 30 min for 40,000 or 1 hour 75,000. Torture was worth it!
Daughter went snorkelling at Nusa Dua, she said it wasn't very good. As she compared it to snorkelling at Nusa Lembonggen which is terrific. Terrible age to bring your almost 15 year old to Bali. She and her friends unfortunately are extremely popular.
Son getting about with friends on his motor bike.

Update for Grand Kumala - pool towels are extremely scarce. I don't mind the 1 towel a day per person policy, but it is annoying when they have none left at 7am!!! So now they have them aside to be collect by me daily.
Have been here now for 7 nights, and it was only noisy 1 night until 12.30am and another night till 9.30, apart from that, so far so good. They work during the day, but it doesn't bother me.

13 of us went to Anika Cooking school 7am pick up and 2pm finish. Great, but would recommend try and get a coffee before you get there or order one with the sample breakfast you get, as everyone was dying for coffee, and thought we would get one with brekkie. It was terrific and would recommend. We didn't do chopping, but we did a lot of crushing of spices for sauces, and demo with 4 people cooking at a time, so we all had turns cooking something was good. Not full on cooking from start to finish which we didn't mind. Got recipe book to take home, certificate and instructor had a lot of handy hints and was great.
