Most are on commission and earn very little. Dont be scared to tip, and tip big. You can really make a difference to someonces life, and the look on their face can be priceless. On My first trip to bali over 16 years ago now, I tipped a waitress not knowing how much they earn. She sat with us after and told me what I had tipped her was more than she earned in a month! Brought a tear to my eye, and have never been scared to tip after that.
