Hi Melrose, we were in Sanur a couple of weeks ago and honestly, I wouldn't worry about the dogs. They are very placid and lazy and just lie around. We probably saw about 6 when we were there, it's not as if there are hundreds roaming around! Just walk around them, don't let the kids pat them and you will be fine. If there are any on the beach whilst you are sitting there at a restaurant, the staff shoo them away and off they go.
