I think if age is a worry to the doctor, and believe me I have been there - you would be best postponing your trip. There would be nothing worse than being in a foreign country if something goes wrong. Being 37, she has hit the high risk age for miscarriage/fetal abnormality/chromosome deficiency etc. Personally speaking I wouldnt risk going while she is still in the first trimester and until you have peace of mind from the nuchal scan at 12 weeks.
