higher. Yes they are steep. Balcony is as long asdining and lounge area. WIth about 6 chairs and 2 tables. Heaps of room! Sliding doors off dining area if you wanted. The one above us has a great sunrise view of one of the mountains as well every morning. It is definetely roomy.
