As i said, the banks should tell you it isnt going direct and know/find out the fees in advance and tell you what they are, but they dont care they just blithly tell you what THEY will charge you while knowing it isnt being sent straight to where you want it.
If it was going direct it wouldnt have ended up in saudi arabia would it and you would have had a comeback with the bank that sent it.
