Went to Bali for my 40th with hubby and 10yr old son (23-30 March). Flew with Jet* from Perth, no dramas either way. Stayed at the Dynasty in a deluxe room. A very nice hotel with lovely grounds, pools & staff. The price of food and drinks at the hotel were reasonable and the breakfast selection was very good.
We did find a good place to eat/drink which was alot cheaper than the Dynasty called the Green Garden Hotel-almost next door!!!

Good place to buy DVD's is across the road from the Dynasty.

The Kodak shop next door is good for changing money.

Cheap drinks to be had at Febri's. Didn't eat there though! Its across the road and to the right from the Dynasty.

Waterbom Park was a blast.

Discovery Mall about 10 min walk along the beach - nice coffee shop there which overlooks the beach. Ate at Segara's(think that was the name) one night (near coffee shop)which was ok. The sunset over the beach was very pretty!

The Queens of India was a fantastic restaurant which is at the front of the Dynasty.

Had lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe - very pricey and very average!!

Did a bit of haggling on the street; not sure we got a good deal or not, but were happy with the prices we paid-
Dresses 50 000
caps 35 000
Sunnies 80 000
Boardies 45 000
Bintang tops 30 000

Overall we had a great time and am looking forward to going back again in November. Have booked flights but not accommodation yet. Am still debating whether to stay at the Dynasty again or try the Bali Garden Beach Resort - I think the price difference was only $150 AUD. If anyone has stayed at the BGBR recently could you please let me know what you thought of the place-thanks.

Well thanks for reading my JBR, hope I haven't bored anyone too much. I spent alot of time on the forum before my trip to Bali and found it most useful so a big thankyou to all who take the time to post here.....
